How To Go For Growth In Your Business - Surefire Tips On Growing A Business

Growing a business...Where could you want your business to be in 5 years time?

Do you know that most successful new businesses, those that survive that is, employ 5 to 20 people and have annual sales of between N50 million to N250 million within about 5 to 7 years?

A successful business will continue to grow over it's business life. Just as you keep growing so will your business.

Once a business starts to grow, you could greatly lower your cost by buying materials and services in larger quantities.

This could also mean more profit, which could provide more funds to put back into the business..... which could result in even much lower cost.

This continues cycle will definitely increase your business growth over time.

Then again.....

Your new business can gain an edge over its more established competitors by doing something vital and different that they cannot easily copy.

Here is an example....

A new barbing salon could locate it's business in the heart of where it's customers are while an existing business has to stay where it is or at least till it's rent expires.

Your growing business could also gain advantages over it's slower competitors by providing more range of products and services and will therefore be viewed as having more to offer.

This could help you keep your customers and make you more cash.

Going back to our new barbing business. The new barbing business could decide to offer home or office barbing services, hair care products, manicure and pedicure services etc unlike its competitors that offers just barbing services in the barber's shop.

A warning, make sure you only add the extras that are quite profitable, it should be worth your time, effort and money. If not you will be doing yourself harm than good.

To keep growing a business.....

You should try as much as possible to keep your key staff. This will help you save time and money which you could have to spent in training new employees before they start making you any money.

So the more staff you lose the more growth you give up.

Very important in growing a business....

Keep bringing in new customers while at the same time keeping the 1s you have.

This will help to provide you with more cash and you will not be greatly affected if you lose a few customers. It will also help to keep you in business when times are tough.

So never just depend on a few customers for your sales.

A cheap way of getting more customers is to try to get those using your product or service to talk in glowing terms about your product or service.

Another tip...

Always try to get your customers to buy more of what you sell.

Winning a new customer is not easy, so once you have them, the more you can get them to spend with you rather than a competitor the more cash you will be making.

Wow!!!... We just covered some surefire ways you could use in growing a business.

Hope you use them to take your business to the next level thereby creating more employment opportunities in our great country Nigeria.

As said earlier on that a successful business employs 5 to 20 within 5 to 7 years of starting it.

And probably much more after that.

"Look at each day as a chance to invest life into life. A chance to share your experience and deposit it into someone else's conscience. Each day is a chance to work miracles in the lives of others."- Jim Rohn
